Re: Last one to post wins the internets
When I went into acute respiratory failure, I had it pretty darn good. I had a large room all to myself and a group of nurses (mostly) from eastern europe. They were all very friendly, and one in particular could have made a fortune if she'd made the decision to become a stripper instead of a nurse. I cannot say I objected to her fondling my pecker while she inserted a catheter and nonchalantly talked to me about how her father has developed a fear of getting one-- but he has no actual medical need... Personally, I think the idea of a catheter is more awful than the actual insertion.
There was one non-hottie who was a male nurse that actually looked very much like Mr. Clean. He seemed to get me when I was at my worst. He's be more of a niche draw as a stripper, I guess... :idunno:

As you know Meg, my nature and response is i am sorry you were not well buddy and i don't wish any harm to anyone, and really glad you recovered and you are ok for you and your family buddy And you were happy with the care you did receive..
And i will finish by saying you live in a "Great Country US of A" when it does come to medical care, and really there is only a small portion of people that have no coverage that does need to be fixed. Really i do hope the Government can fix that without fucking it up for the rest....
I can say that i did receive ok service in the hospital here Meg, but that was lucky when i learned how to work around the system, from the actual specialist/surgeon. I honestly and actually became friends with him outside his profession. But when it came to my Wife being in the same hospital for 4 weeks, that was a complete different story/experience, and i know that would never happen in the USA.
Again i am really glad you are ok Meg, at least physically anyways:P

Let's consider it a blessing that she didn't go into labor 90 minutes later. Last thing you want is a distracted surgeon while you're on the table. I am truly sorry for the delay, though.
Your right again my friend... that REALLY would have been disastrous. Hey... I waited this long....why not some more? :)
(I keep have this feeling he will come in with baggy swollen eyes.... and mumble something about "WOW, the baby kept me up all night!) :alien:

I recall shaina saying that health care in Canadia sucks so much that it was easier to fly to the US to get treatment (an option that is definitely affordable for any average citizen). Maybe the grass is greener on the other side... in any case, hang in there, mate :D
Yea, probably stay in the states and will hang in there... Thank you! :)

Saying that, not to take away the seriousness of Stehle's problem/issue, if a surgery is postponed here you may have to wait a hell of a lot longer than a few weeks later to reschedule... That is another reality here in Canada....
Okay, okay... here in the swamps I'll stay! ;) Most of my kin in Canada are dentists, lawyers, corporate CEO's, etc, etc, doctors with one neurosurgeon in the bunch (...and as children we never got along.), so that's definitely out too.
(ey, I haven't touched snow in about 20 years though. No shoveling it neither.) ;) :alien:

I've been much overdue for a new keyboard. I used a $4 Dell keyboard I got off of eBay for like a decade or more. Then someone gave me a keyboard that I thought would be better but its terribly bulky and still pretty shit. I decided to spring for a fancy mechanical keyboard, the massdrop alt, and its fucking terrible. Its basically got perfect reviews on Amazon so I'm clearly in the minority here but wtf do ppl see in these things? It's way the fk off the desk so you would need one of those wrist cushions :ghey: but I'm not buying even more stuffs to make it cozy. And its terribly set up from an ergonomics standpoint sans the height. The lowest area is the middle rows...like the highest rows are up at the top, then angle downward like you would expect but then start rising up again at the bottom row. Why the fk would it do that? The spacebar is a legit obstacle to get over. Worst keyboard ever.
I use that Magic Keyboard 2 that Apple makes for my work stuffs and its pretty nice. Gonna return this new keyboard. Not sure if I want to try another mechanical or not.

I stole half a dozen old HP wired keyboards at work when they were going to through them out last year. You know, the ones that look like the old IBM keyboards from the 80s/90s.
Maybe it's just what I am used to, but it really is the most comfortable one for me.

The SK-1688 is very good.
I have a Genius KB-120, bought on 2008 to replace a Compaq Internet keyboard from 2000. Comfortable and still works, not sure what else I should ask for :idunno:
