I think I first came across a release group during my C64 years... I want to say it was a Razor 1911 release of Pooyan. Something about a goat with bow and arrows shooting down wolves in balloons that were going to eat the little ones. Or something like that.
Clearly drug use among the programmers was more widespread in those days, too.
Didn't recognize the name, but definitely remember the game from your description. It was Sheep being stolen by the wolves via balloons that had to be popped to keep them from floating into peril.
