    Gotcha...hookers and escorts=gay.
And you contend that there are more of them in DC than say, New York, LA or Vegas.

See, had you stated that DC has more lawyers per capita than anywhere in the US, that would probably pass the initial "truthiness" sniff test (although I have no idea if it's actually the case), but gays and hookers?
    Uh, no.
Many more than NY, go to DC and take a look at the yellow pages and you will see,
I did a few years back, damn those beautiful pages are full of call girls and guys. Not making it up I swear

Is there also some indication that they are gay. I would have thought there was a higher demand from men for "call girls". Or are all the Lesbians there looking up the yellow pages for their hawt burd on burd action.

Why am I still responding to this?
Oh, I dunno, bored while waiting to go to a meeting and mildly offended by the casual acceptance of "internet facts".
Too lazy to be witty or actually outraged though.

First of all I'll disclose that I spent about a decade of my formative years actually living in DC- much of that time employed as a bartender.
If their were legions of sex workers around, I somehow managed to miss them.

Secondly, I happen to know (through a website admin of my acquaintence) that it's de rigeur for an "escort" to register with multiple sites or agencies, so the number of yellow page ads doesn't reflect the actual number of available genitals for rent.

But don't let any of these personal observations deter you.
If it warms your heart to believe that DC is a modern Sodom then far be it for me to disabuse you.

Ah, almost time to go, ta.

Clocker, to be fair that was the 1930s, things may have changed a tad since then.

Don't take my word for it. Use google to check out the facts for yourself. There are plenty of headlines that prove what I say.

How would I confirm that "There was one bloke who was given community service for a violent crime." It's kind of not specific enough to actually confirm.

Oh wait, you're using nebulous, anecdotal evidence to "prove" a general point about a whole judicial system. No wait, more than one as the UK has more than one legal system. I kind of don't do that.

I don't mind expending energy when I think the cause is worth it, but sometimes we bang our heads against a brick wall for no gain whatsoever.
