Thread: FTWR Closing Down!

  1. #31
My bets that this was just a coincidence by timing with ScT.
I have everything what I need. You dont? Sucks to be you.

Seriously if it's really gone fine but tell me as I'd like to know so I can free up the massive amount of server space I've been using to keep things seeded there .
Try accessing the site via http (non ssl)

I think it's something more...ScT, Uk-T, the Rabbit, Mininova, The Pirate Bay - all of it within a couple of weeks? Something big is going on that we don't know about yet.

Not that would be a true shame. ScT and Rabbit are easily replaceable. A site like E isn't. I don't want to sound cold hearted though. It's a shame when any tracker goes down.

Harddrive failure resulting in shutdown, really? Didn't the rabbit have daily backup or something (which i presume is in a different disk)?

not that it matters to me though, I deleted my account there a while ago.

Why donīt u say, its replacable for ME.

PUT the WORD ----- ME ---------- And spare those who really liked it, from reading your shit.

And about E, we heard it allready. Stop saying that everywhere it becomes boring, and brings to much attention, from ppl who dont even know what jazz is.

e**** doesn't get its torrents from any topsite or the scene; it's not at risk for a shutdown other than by the riaa

Well if you get the phoenix reference you shouldn't be too worried in my opinion.
Yes, the Phoenix is reborn from it's ashes in mythology. No, FTWR is not going to be "reborn". We lost all our database. The latest backup we have is from December 2008. The staff had three options:
    1. Close the site.
    2. Start from the 1-year old backup.
    3. Start from scratch with the code.

The owners of the site decided to go with #1.
