What firewall do you use and why?

What firewall do you use and why?
I heard the best ones are either your router or ones that you setup on your own. Like using windows firewall and configure it to your liking. The problem is i have no idea how to configure it.

My router is my firewall. Back when I used a direct connection, I ran Outpost. Great piece of software.

Yea but on what to block for torrenting and other such activities. Also which ports to close.

I only had to disable detection for the "short fragments" attack as that caused a lot of false positives.

Also which ports to close.

Everything but the ones you're using.
