Thread: Explorer is using all of my CPU resouces.

  1. #1
    Well 99 % of them.

I'm on XP with a LAN and ADSL Broadband.

Ater I go on the net then exit it, I often find that my CPU is being used 99% by explorer.

Of course this makes my machine very slow.

I don't want to keep rebooting, how can I find what is making Explorer do this?

    Regards

    Digby

Explorer exe. you mean does it have permission to access the net ? Spyware will do that , check in your firewall settings and run a Virus and spyware scan .

Could be , I always get confused with Explorer exe. and IExplorer exe. But even an online scan could help . Some good ones out there : http://www.google.ca/search?q=online...ient=firefox-a
