Can you help, i'm unable toopen my local disk C.
Each time i click onto it it opens up desktop search. I've unindtalled desktop search and tryied to open local disk again but still no joy.

So the problem i've got is that i unable to access my file and folder in the disk drive. Even my external HDD is the same it opens up desktop search.

I think that the problem may have occured when i was trying to remove an icon. This was the advice i was given by trend micro as i was unable to remove there icon, as there icon replaced my HDD icon. Below is what they told me to do, hope you can help Thanks.

Please go to Start > Control Panel > Folder Options > File Types > Select the Drive Icon > Advanced > Change Icon > Set it back to the original icon and click on OK.

    Kind regards,

    Mark,
    Trend Micro EMEA Product Support

That won't help, cause it will only maybe change the drive icon

    try
go to Start > Control Panel > Folder Options > File Types > Select the Drive Icon > Advanced >
in the "actions" section, it should only say "find"
    mark "find"
    then click " set default"

    and remove any other entries.
    ok
    test it
    if it dont help
    maybe reboot
    test again.

And our vast store of knowledge is once again enriched.

A collective sigh of thanks, awfully.
