I do think users trade for mainly 3 reasons:
They want to get a sertain site.
Collectiors their goal is usually to have all the sites in the Rating thread.
They think its fun, they just do it as a hobby. A way to kill some time, and are always trying to get higher rated trackers.
Or a mixture of 2 or more reasons.

Im not a trader but I believe I could trade invites if it was for something that I realy wanted and of leagal to trade and non of my friends had.. but that's not the case
