Thread: Games useing up to much

    When i play a variety of different games i have problems with some and none at all with the others is it normal for a game to use 100 percent cpu useage while playing online nothing is being loaded im just running around shotting is what i mean due to this i am getting tons of lag online the screen is jittering is it normal for it to use 100 percent cpu?

    Currently im running a 3700+ amd 2.2 GHzs

    Depends on a ton of factors... How new is the game, and how demanding is it... What kind of graphic card you have... What kind of processor (dual core, single core)... How much ram...

    But, yes, if your hardware is outdated it is normal for games to use up different amounts of resources... Even up to the point to where you can't play it normally.

    If you are able to run the game, but you get some lag, getting some more ram and/or updating your graphic card would be the best solution...

    Hm, that seems sufficient enough for an COD1... Are you sure you weren't downloading/uploading something at the time?

    I thought the same but i don't know why it's not good enough my hardware. Yes im quite sure that im not downloading

    Are you wired to the internet or are you using a wireless adapter?

    • Check to see if PeerGaurdian or your Firewall is limiting the connection.
    • Try forwarding the ports for each game (www.portforward.com).
    • Scan for Spyware/ Viruses.

    I don't have any virus that i know of i don't use peergaurdian anymore also my firewalls is set on allow when it comes to games i will try the portforward thing for each game in my router to see if that works i never thought that could be an issue for games (i'm wired)
