The invites worth thread needs to be rethinked.

Captainmasr has been lobbying hard to change what F** should be on the Invites worth thread, which brings up a good point.

The thing is people take this thread too literally and imo i think is should be totally scrapped or redone someway different.

i've been thinking about it very much recently and i think it should be changed into a 4 point scale, or even better, into something that has nothing to do with math or numbers and cannot be taken to literal that way.

The best way i can think of doing that off the top of my head is by using colors (or warm-hot, or whatever as long as it has no numbers). I think that could be the solution that makes this list help us like it should, instead of hindering trades and killing a potentially friendlier trading environment, like i think it is doing.

Also i think there could be a way to range the value of different sites. For example an FTN power (200G up) account is worth a hell of alot more than an invite. Pisexy, you cant get invites unless youve been a member for at least 12 weeks, an invite would also be worth alot less there. A place like F*** you only need to wait 2 weeks (with 25G up) to get invites, so the range would be smaller on that one. Also, you could range sites with actual value and rarity. So TL would be something like [ TL: 2 - 4 ]

Thats another way we could change the system so people wouldnt be so concrete and stuck about the numbers.

i think that someone should create a new thread called What Sites Are Worth or something similar..here there will be the BEST trackers 4 content and pretime, not for rarity...IMHO TL ist better than many many sites

You cannot rate a tracker like underground-gamer by it's pre-times.
And when you say that oink in example is a great tracker, others will say that they do not have any porn there, means that it depends on the content one is looking for.

In the end, it is one's personal decision. What is it worth to any single user to have an account on ScT? Some would die to get in, other's are looking for a more "community based" tracker.
Some ppl only look at the pre times, others do not care when they dl a scene release after 2 days or so.
So whenever you make any kind of list, you have some "overhyped" communities and some that are not rated at all because they are so secret that not much ppl know them.

So in my eyes, when you make something at all, you've gotta look at far more criteria except how many ppl want to get in there right now.

Yes I agree with this. It should not be rarity, it should be quality, content and pretime. Just because its hard to get an account somewhere should mean its rated the best. Its BS
