coming from an asus g1s, and being dissapointed, i want to slim down on my next notebook. i want something light but sturdy, with a really good battery. It needs to powerful enough to handle XP and Firefox without a hiccup, and handle 1080p hd movie playback and things like photoshop and microsoft word, but thats it. i dont do any encoding or gaming, not on a laptop.

dont care much for notebok gaming. gaming on laptops sucks anyway, thats where i was let down with my g1s. i figure if i can handle HD it can handle most games on low settings anyway, incase the need ever arises.

i would just go with a netbook, but i really need it to play HD. nothing beats lying down at night with some hd in your face, or ahving portable hd player.

Anyone know a good one? small screens are good for me, 14 or 15 in.

That one looks pretty good to me, but still a bit more than i wanted to spend, and it doesnt specify battery life

If your interested in a netbook, maybe wait for Ion?

Also the asus n-10 has discrete graphics so it should be able to play HD.
