Movie Will Not Play

I downloaded a movie. it was a bin and cue file. i then burned it with nero, but it would not play on my dvd player, i then tried it on my friends dvd player and it worked ok. is there any reason why it would not play on my dvd player.

Is it a VCD or SVCD? Most set-top-box DVD players can play VCDs but not SVCDs. Look at the front of your DVD player. Look for something like CD/CD-R/DVD/VCD bla, bla, bla. If it's not listed, it's not supported.

its a vcd.thats what i cant understand cus iv'e played a vcd before on my dvd player
