Windows Startup Error

Can anyone help? When i type my password into the Welcome Screen after a few seconfs of loading i get a "User Enviroment Error" box come up saying

" Windows cannot load user profile but has logged you on a default profile for the system"

Detail: Incorrect Function

Anyone know what the problem could be?????
