If vb1234's idea doesn't work then maybe you should run scandisk/disk check.
It seems like the space isn't being calc'd right or something.
I've added up each folder's size, Temp. Internet Files folder is the one that reports 4.3gb, but the location it gives me is Documents And Settings/Aviv/Local Users and not Temp. Int Files.
Download Disk Size Manager from http://www.spadixbd.com/dsm/
Do a scan and it will show you what folders are using up all the space.
If you want to clear down your temp internet files try doing this
Click Start - RUN
Type 'cmd' hit OK
from DOS prompt type the following
cd c:\documents and settings\your user name\local settings\temporary internet files
Then press return
then type erase *.* /s /q hit return
This will go through all Sub folder deleting all files.
Be careful and make sure your prompt reads cd c:\documents and settings\your user name\local settings\temporary internet files before deleting
Hope that helps
Did you try looking in your MY DOCUMENTS and seeing what is in there? Because whatever is in there, is stored in Documents and Settings!
Try checking the "My Documents" folder on your PC and not the folder listed under your usename.
/all I've got
Thank you, why hasnt anyon else said that.Originally Posted by harrycary
Maybe I'm wrong but, 4.3gb is around the size of a downloaded dvd.Originally Posted by Vamp
If you have downloaded dvd's before, search all the folders that you would've saved them to(or extracted the rars to), such as My Shared Folder etc...
I had the same(well, very similar) problem and this was the answer.
