Hey...my system specs are in my sig. I was never able to play Dooom III very much, because I could play for like a little while and once i would get a ways through it would crash on me. Now I downloaded The Punisher, and when I play a certain amount it crashes back to windows on me. I set all my specs back to stock and it still does this.

    Any Ideas?

You don't think? Meaning you don't know?

That was my first thought. Install Everest Home Edition and check the temperatures.

Well I felt everything after playing...immedietly..and nothing felt hot.. but I will install everest and tell u what the temps are while playing.

Hm Im seeing that my CPU is running at 1.75Vcore which could be causing extra heat...Ill set that to 1.65.

Ok...1.65Vcore and reads 45C idle and 46C while playing the game...so I dont feel it is that..

    What exactly is firmware?

If you lowered vcore and it now works fine, that would suggest that
    1) vcore was too high in the first place
    2) the high vcore was causing the system to overheat.
