I'm impressed too. It's a long ways off but he describes some very neat and exciting technolgy in this engine during that G4 interview. That and how the levels will be layed out. No Doom 3 dungeon crawling type stuff... wide open expanses and beautiful landscapes. Much like Oblivion I'd imagine

One of the best looking games that has been fun to play and a good game as well was Far Cry. Turning everything up and looking at the water effects was great. A lot of these games are selling themselfs on graphics only and no storyline/gameplay.

Agreed. Still, Farcry looked amazing when turned on max, playing on a large screen at any beach scene with water. The gameplay was crap, didn't even bother playing singleplayer. It's actually one of the few games I've actually bought to play online
