    Unsure

I got a questin about status. How come some people can appear offline and still chat with me? wtf...It says " blah blah sppears to be offline and may not reply" but when I appear offline, it closed all my conversation and on top of that, I can't chat. So how do they do it? O_o

    Sometimes it happens to me.
I'm talking and people will be like "Why are you offline anyway?"

But if they do it a lot it could be a hack to let you talk while you're offline.

If you want to tweak MSN go to mess.be and download the Mess MSN Pacth, it's very good.

stuffplug is cool...I haven't installed it yet this time around...but I don't remember there being an option that allows you to chat while appearing offline.
There were options, however, that would let you log in as 'appear offline', but now msn7 has incorporated that option, so a plug-in isn't needed.

stuffplug still has some cool features, like custom emoticon/display pic sizes, etc that are fun to play with.
but as far as what you're experiencing, i'd say it's probably a glitch, unless they admit to doing it purposely.
