I don't have that option either, running Windows 2000.Originally Posted by Virtualbody1234

Anyway to do it without editing the registry?

Strange. In mine it shows:
Code:Requirements: At least Microsoft Windows 2000 Removes icons, shortcuts, and other default and user-defined items from the desktop, including Briefcase, Recycle Bin, My Computer, and My Network Places. Removing icons and shortcuts does not prevent the user from using another method to start the programs or opening the items they represent.
Strange indeed. I don't see that option anywhere...

Whoops didn't even see this post, found it, and enabled it. Refreshing the desktop still didn't make the icons go away, so let me try rebooting...Originally Posted by Virtualbody1234
