Jarhead (2005)

This movie honestly looks like an amazing movie, definitely an oscar pick me thinks. I haven't read the book, but have heard some good stuff about it. What's your opinion on the movie? Just from watching the trailer I got hyped, when those A-10's roared over his head, that looked awesome and it def. did not look like CGI, I'm 100% sure that was an actual shot using actual A-10's (which means this movie is somewhat finanaced by DOD).

Even though I'm not a huge fan of Rap, I think the song "Jesus Walk" by Kanye West went absolutely flawless and kind of went hand in hand with the trailer, the production and cinematography of this movie looks top-notch.

Do you guys think jake gyllenhaal was a good choice for the main character?

I think he was, the only other character that he ever played that was really really good was Donnie Darko (awesome movie too btw). I think he was the right choice for this movie.

I picked up the book today, havent had a chance to read it yet but will soon, but from what I hear, Jamie Foxx was the best choice for the character he plays, can't wait till November for this one to come out.
