Is there any possibility of permiting .swf files in img tags in this forum?

    I don't think that's a secure thing to do...

i was wondering why mucho forums dont do it - although i have seen afew where they permit in sig and avs which is annoying.
when you refer to "secure" i thought the main hesitation towards swf img tags was their weight
    ?

I really don't know if it's secure or not.
but have you seen that flash vid where u click a button and it plays some song, and teh screen shakes.
The sqf triggers a javascript to make that run, which is why i think it's insecure as other things could probably be done as well.

But i'm not sure, maybe someone can give some more information.

Having flash would be a really bad idea, you can do almost anything with it such as spawn unlimited amounts of pop ups even in firefox. too much room for abuse.

That's what I thought, thanks for clearing it up.
