May someone please tell me the recommended the best emule ports i should use? and if so, should i port forward them on my router?

there is no "best port"
the worse port might be the default one if your ISP blocks/throttles it
i use a random port each session, but then i'm not behind a router
you should forward whatever ports you select, for TCP and UDP, if youre behind a router

Back when I first started using eMule through my router, I usually got a low ID until I forwarded a few ports - if you look under Connection in the options menu, the part that says Clientport shows you the ports that should be forwarded. This emule-help guide has some more information on this too.
Of course, if you're normally getting a high ID I don't think you need to forward any ports on your router.

experiment. see if your ISP is limiting certain ports. my ISP used to do it with higher ports. make sure your (windows) firewall also opens the ports.
