    They're here!!!

    They're fitting carpets!!!

Apparently, the reason they were late is because the first job this morning turned out to be a hall and stairs, and they were told beforehand it was a normal room...

Apparently, this is why they were 4 and a half hours late. What the fuck was it, a fucking grand spiral staircase in a fucking palace or something??

But at least they're here now..

Have you ever tried to fit carpet? With all the potential problems, 4½ hours seems reasonable.

I'd fail dismally to fit a carpet, even in 4½ hours. However, carpet fitting is their profession, one would hope they'd be proficient at it.

I had my stairs done in about an hour recently. It was only one bloke and he charged me £30 (cash job). Not bad, like.
I plan on beating him to death with his kids. I'll use them as a bludgeon on his face. -

--Good for them if they survive.

I'll give them their dues, they know what they're doing. They've been at my house for 1 hour and 5 minutes, and they've fitted the main bedroom, the bathroom (including boxed-in sections and round the bottom of the bath panel), and they're just finishing off the second bedroom, and putting bits in the built-in cupboards for me with the offcuts.

@VB: no, that's the job of a trained professional carpet fitter.

Nah, but he's fitted all of the carpets in my house and always does it for a good price. £120 seems extortionate but he's one of my Dad's mates, it's not what you know ... .

2 guys, 3 rooms (including fiddly bathroom), been here 2 hours.. I guess it's more expensive too because they get the business though carpetright. I probably could have shopped around and got it done cheaper, but hey...

Holy shit, why am I defending my guys? I was slagging them off earlier..

..but actually they're doing a cracking job..

£120 don't seem to bad for a professional fitting, sometimes you get free fitting with some firms but they're usually a bit slapdash at it

All spelling mistakes and grammatical errors in my post's are intentional.
