Hi,

Just upgraded to Nero 7.0 Ultra and having a few problems with it.

First off my music cd's i burn all seem to skip a few times at random places during some songs and then when i burn an .avi film the burn process seems to go ok until it get sto the end... it just won't finish , the light on my cd drive turns green as if it has but Nero just won't get to the "Burn complete" part and i have to end up shutting down Nero and my computer to get my disc back out again which is a real pain.

Is anyone else getting these problems with Nero?
And does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix them?
Or should i just to revert back to nero 5.xxx version i used before?

I have had similar problems with nero 7 so i went back to 6

also check that dma is turned on for your dvd drive.

It depends on your setup ,no dvd - w stick with nero 5 . I like ver. 7 but the language pak one is a waste of space .

How do i check Dma pls?

control panel / system /hardware (tab)/ device manager / ide ata, atapi

pick the ide channel that your dvd drive is on. mine is on secondary

go to the advanced setting tab and make sure current transfer mode is set to dma not pio.
