    Hey guys i am planning on getting these new parts for a computer and i am considering it to be a gaming system of some sort... do you think it is alright for one or would i need to get better parts.. i know the graphics card is weak.

    -INTEL P4 3.0GHz SOCKET 775 PROCESSOR 2MB CACHE
    -GIGABYTE GA-8I915P Pro(Rev 2.0) 775 ATX Motherboard
    -ABIT RADEON X600 PRO HDTV 256MB PCIEX VGA VIDEO CARD

    card is def really bad, i'd atleast try to go with the x800, that's the card im looking at myself. get it off newegg for about 130 after MIR(should already be pciE).

    mobo looks fine for that cpu from what i can see.

    Just in case English is not your primary language...In mixed company it is considered rude to use the words "intel" and "gaming' in the same sentence.

    What you want...what ya really, really want is:

    -AMD a64 3500 Venice

    -DFI NF4 Ultra motherboard

    -XFX 6600GT vid card

    This capable and cheerful trio will set you back $500.
    I have no clue what your selections might cost.

    If there are budgetary considerations in play would you mind sharing them with the group?
