    Lite-On, good reliable quality. No need for a top name, that's what you pay for the name. Satisfied since day 1 with all my Lite-on buys I 've used, using, passed on, etc.............

    I burned out a Lite-On
    I worn out a Samsung
    I had an "unlisted" Creative Labs 8x that only works at 4x

    -------
    Now I have a PLEXTOR 40x CDRW and it is the best.

    You can't get wrong with Plextor.

    It's a little expensive though.

    The second option would be Lite-on.

    Cheap, reliable, supports most of the features (overburning, subchannel reading, ..... blah blah, .....)

    But if it's true that Lite-on is actually Plextor, then don't hesitate, get a Lite-on burner.

    (I still have Plextor PlexWriter 16x/12x/40x, works great.)

    Go with any burner made by Verbatim. They make excellent burners that are good quality and are lightning fast.

    I have the 52x24x52x and it works wonderfully.

    Get a lite-on 48x or 52x these are the only burners that will clone the new protection code from hexalock
    using blindwrite or Alcohol 120%.
