Laying about at home, she was my first PC so I'm quite nostalgic about her, apart from using it as a doorstop/dustcatcher,what could I use it as.
I'm thinking something like a jukebox.
    Any ideas would be appreciated

i have one lying around the attic, i think i canabalised most of the bits

i'm not sure it'll work as a jukebox, the minimum requirements for Winamp are:

    # 500MHz Pentium III or comparable
    # 64MB RAM
    # 15MB Hard Disk Space
    # 16bit Sound Card
    # Windows 98 SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003

i'm not sure it'll even run Windows XP

it'll probably useful for running DOS, so you can be all nostalgic and play old games

That'll run Windows 3.1 or Windows 95 if there's enough RAM.

maybe it could be used as a router/firewall. but then, prefabbed routers are cheap and much much smaller than an old pc.

i guess that's the problem with trying to find uses for really old computers, is that anything you could possibly still put it to use for... could easily be done by an emulator or a much smaller & more efficient device.

i would probably use it to run win 3.11, doom, prince of persia or maybe even doom2 if you hold down f4 on startup to bypass config.sys.

either that or turn it into a file server. im guessing it would be pretty slow even for that and the 200mb hard drive might make it pointless.
