The forums claims to be trying to help people get over their disorders, but unfortunately the community seems to be of the opposite opinion.

I think that site needs a little bit more moderation...

Some of the links on their links section do link to genuine pro-ANA sites, now that's scary...

Enough people do something stupid and they call it a disorder when it really isn't.

I guess if a number of black folks started wanting to be white and bleached their skin (Michael Jackson) it would be a disorder and congregational stupidity.

I would buy that they have low self-esteem but it ain't a disorder. There are tons of unhealthy things that people do due to lack of confidence. There are women at the club that try to pull any man they can get to have sex 'cause they have low self esteem. They want even just that one night stand as a substitute for love.

Anorexia is based low self-esteem, vanity, and extreme sensitivity to what others think. It has a severe cultural relation.

There is also anorexia athletism or some shit where the woman has a thing about working out all the time.

There is a disorder name for almost anything that doesn't fit a small cubby hole of normalcy.

There's probably one for extreme procrastination for all I know.

I've seen the cultural thing of many (especially white) women saying, "My butts too big," and it looks like a little girls butt. Couple some of that with low self-esteem and there ya go and some take "getting in shape" too far.

Maybe if some of this behavior weren't coddled with a name and actually shunned, woman wouldn't think it's the way to go so much.

Some girls learn bulimia from other girls ffs. Some disorder...it's contagious too.

There have been times I ate a whole pack of EL Fudge cookies although it wasn't good for me. I am a massive overeater and eat disorderly sometimes.
Yet I'm 15 pounds overweight.
