Ok so I borrowed my sister's camera to take some pictures and I connected it to my computer with the usb cord and my computer recognised it and installed drivers and it added it to my computer even after I unplugged it. I always plug in my PSP with the same type of usb cord and it doesnt show up in my computer after its unplugged. I need help.

Btw it still shows after its disconnected.

You don't normally need to install drivers, XP understands removable drives without them.

If it doesn't recognise the camera as a removable drive without extra drivers it means the camera isn't set up as a standard device, so it probably won't get removed in the same way either.

Is there an icon in the system tray so that you can tell the system you want to remove the drive? If so, you needed to use that before unplugging it.
