Thread: How to install Office

    It was an RAR file so I downloaded that winrar program to extract the files but I still don't see how I can start installing the program on my computer.

    Then, somehow I ended up with an NRG file and I did what was said on "Brian's BitTorrent FAQ" and burned it on a CD, but that just left me with the same file on a CD, which I was unable to open.

    Any suggestions?

    You extracted an image file from the rar's.

    You need to use Nero to burn the NRG as an image file.

    Go to recorded at top and select 'burn image' or something similar. DO NOT burn the file as data, which is what you've obviously done.

    also if your gonna get something why not make sure you get the latest edition. You have the XP version.

    The newest one is 2003.

    Good point. I was under the impression that XP and 2003 were the same, but I was wrong. Back to the old drawing board.

    I had some problems with office 2003.. couldn't open word doc's .. don't know really why.. just got back 2 office xp
