No not all mobos are the same.

You can download the manual for that TForce 6100-939 here: http://www.biostar.com.tw/t-series/d..._t6100-939.exe

In fact, most components have manuals or detailed specs if you look at the manufacturers web sites.

Actually, that raises a very valid point.

Before you buy any component, look at the web site to see what sort of support there is. If the web site is crap then if you have a problem with the component you aren't going to get much help, so it's probably a good idea to get an alternative.

definently agree about the mobo cpu combo, get the 3000, if you got the 3500 it wouldnt see full potential in games because it would be bottlenecked by the intergrated gpu.

the 3000, that will save you about $30, you could also slim down the hdd if your strapped for cash, save another $20 or so depends how deep you cut it. ram could be slimmed down to 512mb and save another $40, if your not gonna burn dvd's/cd's or watch dvds quite yet, you could get a basic cdrom drive for about $24 shipped. saving another $14. bottom line like others have said time and time again it all depends on what you wish to do with the system.

    HDD
    RAM
    CDROM

    Umm.

    3500+ $219.00
    3000+ $146.00

    A difference of... $73.00

    So yeah, about $30.

eVga 6600GT should do you fine for a while.
By "flat panel" do you mean LCD or a flat panel CRT display?
LCDs are cheap and getting cheaper, wait till January for the best prices.
