I aim for a ratio of at least 1, but unless it's one of my uploads, I rarely hit it.
I do seed for a couple weeks on average though.

Someone else has a hard time because you need that extra TB on your Upload stats.

I seed torrents from well seeded trackers for as much as required 48 Hours / 1:1 maybe 1:1/5 ratio ... for Desi trackers ( BWT DT BanglaTorrents) which has really poor seeders , i have some 2 years old torrents still seeding .. Ratio > 50 .

Maybe things were different back in 2005, but nowadays with fast connections and seedboxes, 500% is hardly unrealistic. Even if you have a crappy line, it's manageable over time if there are people leeching that stuff - I have some public torrents (moderate to large files) in my client with ratios on the 30s and beyond.
