Zone alarm won't unistall on my pc. I had a problem with my computer tonight and had to reset the cmos, but when i rebooted something messed up with zone alarm and now i get these two errors.

I've tried to in-install over the top and still get the same error messages. I even did a windows repair install but it still did'nt help. Zone alarms still functioning somewhere because my printer and scanner won't reconnect and also i can't update the time because it says theres an erroor contacting the update site.

I running windows xp with server pack 2.

    Thanks in advance.

Re-install. Reboot in Safe Mode. Uninstall.

    or,

Re-install. Reboot. Use CCleaner to uninstall

    or,

Re-install. Find the processes it's using in Task Manager and shut them down. Uninstall.

See this is why I get mad when people recommend this rubbish. Aside from the many problems experience, expecially gamers... it now won't uninstall for some users

Only thing I can think of is using a decent uninstall manager, or doing it all manually. Startup list first, then registry keys and finally the folders in your hard drive.

You should be able to reinstall to fix the problem or a regcleaner should work but a more aggressive one than ccleaner . Sounds scary tho you had a problem with your computer like what ? Virus, adware .

Replace this file may help ?

Cheers for the help chaps, i think i've sorted it. I deleted most of the zone alarm stuff what i found on the interweb and then i set my computer clock to the correct time(i don't know if this cured it) and then i was able to re-install zone alarm again. The only problem now is that i can't seem to get my printer and scanner to connect, but i think this is a USB 2.0 problem. The disc what i got with my mother board has the drivers on it but it's not highlighted so i can install them.

    The joys of computers.
