I am sceptical about torrent sites and the lack of anonymity. I stick with irc most of the time and newsgroups. Bittorrent is looisng most of it's luster in my opinion. For irc I use IRCDig.com and for newsgroups any of the alt.binary groups would work depending on what you are looking for.

these are good private sites! And yes they do worth to register!
People there has to seed in order not to get banned, therefore good speeds can be optain in such sites!
there is also www.torrentbytes.net
and www.torrentit.com
but is damn hard to join them...

NO WAY!
www.shareordie.net is by far the best site on the web for filesharing.
All you need is a rapidshare account in some cases, and flashget...
