    no, it should look like this
    This shows up when you type -> ipconfig /all <- (wich gives you more info as ipconfig

    start-->run-->type there... cmd<enter>
    in that box you can run ipconfig /all

    If the machine is not connected to a network or the internet it would be normal for it to have an ip address of 0.0.0.0

    That's the thing, I have a net connection and in the ethernet/whatever it is you click to connect to the net, I have an ip address.

    Only there that I have the all 0s.

    how are you connecting to the net? are you sure you're really connected?

    err...no I'm not sure.

    All I know is that I can download and upload with utorrent.

    I can post a reply here.

    I can use google

    etc. things you can do when connected so I'm assuming I am connected but maybe there's a different type of connection I don't know of.
