It's that global warming wots to blame. Fo'sure. When I was a little Blyth, me mammy and I had ter dig ourselves out o the house. I remember sinking up to me knees in snow. In the good ol' days you could mek a whole family of Snowmen, and not have to go rootling around the tops of car wheels to have enough left to chuck at yer mates.
