I'm putting together the parts I just bought, and now that I have the case open the mobo screwed onto the case, I cant find out what the risers do... I know they're supposed to keep the mobo from touch the case, but I can't find a place to install them! Do they go on top of your mobo just like the screws? or do they go somewhere else?

i thought they go into the case and then the mobo sits on top of em but thats what i thought and then you screw more screws onto the risers

Stop what you're doing right now!

Don't go any further until you have a full understanding of all the parts involved.

The risers are supposed to go between the case and the motherboard.

Whatever you do, don't power on the system until you are completely sure it's done right. Take your time and don't be afraid to ask any questions.

    Install them similar to this:

Put each standoff under each screw point. Be sure to not put any where there aren't screws.

Screw the plastic risers into the case at each support point and then the mobo snaps onto the plastic pins.

But I would try to get brass standoffs instead.

Btw. It's easier to install the CPU before installing the mobo.
