A look as in travelling to take a look? Probably not. It's a horrible little place but is exactly as you describe.

Not only is it an ex-mining village but also the Steel Works in Ebbw Vale (next town along) closed so the residents have twice as many reasons to be socially deprived.

The pubs are okayish, loads of fighting and slappers aplenty

Thanks, that sounds ideal (For my purposes, not for the residents!). If it was included, I'd have to visit it. I'll purchase a flack jacket and some camo gear especially.
