splitting music file

how do i go about splitting a mp3 music file into seperate tracks ? i downloaded a album but each cd was one file,i would be good to skip certaian tracks while playing! is there a way?

I just used absolute mp3 for this very purpose. Only thng is the songs I was trying to separate blended with one another so I couldn't use it effectively. It's pretty easy to use.
