My current CD-RW recently crapped out on me and stopped acknowledging that there was a disc in their,, CD-R or CD-RW. I have been looking at four of them but if theres something else I should consider let me know.

Yamaha CRW 2200EZ ,Yamaha CRW-F1 44X/24X/44X ,TDK VeloCD 40X/12X/48X EIDE

It doesn't have to be blazing fast either anyting would be better than what I have now.

Don't get the Yamaha. Look for a Lite-on or LG.

Help? Dude, they are all the same and can be purchased for less $40 new. Besides, they are slowly being phased out of the market in place of DVD burners. Just pick one by a name brand company and you'll be fine.

lite on is basically plex, but cheaper.

you can get a 48 12 48 lite on for like £50, and can't go wrong, though if you're not in a hurry id look around for a DVD-RW, but look around cos theres all the different types, +- and that....there's a sony one which does all the tyoes, and isn't too expensive, and the disks do work out cheap relative to buying HDD's

I like Sony, all in one burner, dvd rw, dvd r, cd rw cd r. Dun know how long it will last me, but wth, I'll give it a go and judge later.

My mind works like lightning. One brilliant flash, and it's gone.
