    is SATA2 backwards compatible with SATA?

    Yes I did some reading up on this as I ordered a sata-300(sata2) hard drive and a sata-150(sata) motherboard, and it turns out they are backwards compatible.

    got some sweet deals on SATA2 drives atm,
    but I got plain old SATA on my mobo

    thinking about (2) of these babies:

    oh, and it looks like I missed something

    I am posting now, from the raid, althought I had some problems, like not knowing how to set up raid and whatnot, and then for some reason it kept crying grub error, but alas it booted. I need to find a bench mark tool now.
