I had a new cast put on. It is very tight, it hurts like a fucking elephant jumping on my foot. I can't walk at all on it at the moment. Two of my major contracts, which I have invested many, many hours in have been given away and I'm in a major sulk because no-one will help me into the porch for a smoke.
But none of it matters because I've reached 1000 posts.
Actually I feel quite cheated because I was really looking forwards to crowing about it, but drowning in self pity has taken away the pleasure for me.

What you need is a very very long pipe, like what you sometimes get with tumble dryers, to blow your smoke into and channel it out through the window.

Or I could just make an effort to shuffle out the door on my bottom. The humiliation would be worth it once I'd lit up.
manker is right. Drinks-only gents, or whatever your poison. Cake would be good but not essential, but if anyone passes a shop on the way, I'd love some Diet Coke and some Jaffa Cakes.
