What about the Kama Sutra? It is a book, yes. It has quite a history behind it, but that is not relevant to this discussion.

You can have a Bookworld without porn in it. The vast majority of books are not pornographic. We have Musicworld without porn, we have Softwareworld without porn, we have Gameworld without porn, hell, even Movieworld is mostly free of porn. The line has to be drawn somewhere.

It's not difficult to find porn on Kazaa. It's not difficult to find porn on the web. How about we show people who come here just for the verifieds that there's a lot more to Kazaa than porn?

Think you need to climb down off your high horse there MN,you might have spammed us senseless about bookworld BUT you can&#39;t tell me that entitles you to say what goes in there ...it&#39;s just not upto you.

Might not see much porn in the other worlds but thats not relevent to this discussion now is it ...we don&#39;t get told that porn is not allowed,like you want to do.

Whatever happened to FREEDOM to choose what we read and talk about?What gives you the devine right to say what goes where?

I still say another world is needed as you will get people wanting a picture world too(which is a good idea as pics are freely available on k-lite too)...avatar and sig world would be very popular so anotherworld can include these.

Try reading what I wrote. I said that the history behind the Kama Sutra wasn&#39;t relevant to the discussion. I wasn&#39;t aware I had to spell everything out.

Again, try reading what I wrote. I&#39;ve stated a number of times why pornography shouldn&#39;t be in Bookworld. I&#39;ve stated a number of times why pornography shouldn&#39;t be on this forum.

Actually, we have been told pornography isn&#39;t allowed. Bender edited a few posts with pornographic content not terribly long ago. The fact that this board is rather self-regulating is nice. People seem to forget that minors often visit this board, and while I have no misconceptions about the fact that they&#39;ll find porn if they want to, it doesn&#39;t necessarily mean we have to condone it. And the lack of pornography in the other worlds is terribly relevant.

Have you actually tried to find a specific book on the Fasttrack network? It isn&#39;t nearly as easy as you seem to think. Sure, books like Harry Potter are easy to find. But what about one like Burnt Bones? Almost impossible.

I have no divine rights. I may be descendant from British nobility, but we&#39;ve stopped using the Divine Right long ago. This board hasn&#39;t really truly been free to talk about whatever one wishes. It&#39;s not the fault of the admin, or the mods, but rather the fault of the other board members. It&#39;s rather difficult to take an opposing viewpoint on an issue when all you recieve is: "u sux&#33;" and a litany of poorly thought-out flames. This isn&#39;t actually directed at you, Nemo, it&#39;s just a general observation that fit into that tangent.

If you want porn, you don&#39;t need to look too far. Why even bother putting up verified "images," because most of what the faked files are renamed to is porn, and a large selection of the celebrated "celebrity images" are fake, anyway.

Mr MN,i hear what your saying and im not the biggest fan of pornography,even if my sig leads you to believe otherwise.

We get told alot of things are not allowed here only to find someone pushes the limits set,hell even the admins break the rules so how can they expect anyone else to listen to rules with them setting an example the way they do sometimes.

Back on topic...if what your saying is correct and some books are very hard to find on the fasttrack network then would it not be better to use ftp&#39;s to spread your books initially as you see the problems we have already here with hash&#39;s and finding more sources.

I didn&#39;t say anything about your sig, that was zapjb. I&#39;ve certainly seen worse sigs on this board.

Well, for the spreading of books, I can&#39;t say for most people, but like I said, mine are found (somehow) without any advertising. Most of mine I&#39;ve brought over from other networks, since I don&#39;t have a scanner myself. I&#39;ve found that there are people on the network that don&#39;t put proper keywords on things, but they have the same file as someone else. All in all, it depends what you&#39;re looking for, just like everything else. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is probably easier to find than Bullfinch&#39;s Mythology. Braveheart is easier to find than Jude, The Sims is easier to find than Gabriel Knight II, etc.

The little guy isn&#39;t any actual word anymore. Just : swear : I once had a discussion with someone else about freedom of speech and how it related to forums. Basically it boiled down to that the forum&#39;s privately owned, so freedom of speech is a moot point. It&#39;s a benevolent dictatorship, not a democracy. It&#39;s not so much an issue here; the mods and admin aren&#39;t nearly as heavy-handed as they were there.

People equate images with pornography. It&#39;s become an euphemism, sadly enough. People talk about how it&#39;s best to have a collection of "images" to keep a good PL (or they did, before the constant 1000 PL). People look for celebrity "images." So that was a generalization on my part.

I am for the Bookworld, but do not feel it should be without porn. We have never been told(that I am aware of) that porn is not allowed. Just that pornographic pics and links to directly pornographic sites are not allowed in our posts.

Having hashes for these things is allowed but having a pic of porn is frowned upon and in certain instances banned.

But I think the Bookworld or Otherworld should have subsections in it for general categories. If you don&#39;t want to see hashes for pics or porn magazines or whatever you need not look in that subcatagory.

And ease of finding something on kazaa should not be a determining factor either. Are we gonna say that Britanny Spears music hashes are not allowed in Music World?

The problem with overtly allowing porn should be obvious...minors visit this board. Plus I&#39;m not sure why anyone would need "verified" porn hashes. Would that not rather be like the Adultworld that was voted down not terribly long ago? Rather than restate four of my other posts, I&#39;ll just stop there.
