Well I use the one thing in it, robot4rip to try and rip a DVD.. which apparently wasn't the right one to use.. I now relize I needed to use the decrypter.. I guess.. well still it took 10 minutes to do something.. and well what happened & where did the file go ??? Any help would be very much appriciated.. thanks. :"> Boy do I feel like an idiot..

You need to look at where the target destination is located. Change it if you want to go to a different directory. You can find out where the files went by doing a windows search by searching for the phrase "*.vob" which is a wildcard search.

You rip the files to your hardrive, which removes the copy-protection. Then you encode the VOBs to avi, which compresses the file size.

I suggest going to http://www.doom9.org/ and http://www.dvdrhelp.com/ and read the tutorials. Doom9 has a Gordon Knot tutorial. If you find Gordon Knot a bit overwhelming, you might want to try Vidomi, which is easier to figure out for first timers but it does not have all the features of Gordon Knot.
