Both Xanga and Livejournal have free and subscription options. Usually they just offer more space to host pictures.

MySpace and Xanga are both gay.............. I hate both of them.. Dont ask why, I just do..
LiveJournal and blogger I would recommend. Very nice. As for hosting music/pictures whatever.. I would just get a free website and just link your stuff there.
