XP taskbar problem

Every now and then, after a reboot my taskbar reverts to the xp style theme instead of the classic style I have selected.
is there any fix to this?

yup. put it back on classic.

it could be reverting back because you've maxed out the views windows can remember
you can increase that with a reg tweak or google for TweakUI
or disable the theme service in the management console

are you using style xp or the uxtheme patch?

I'm not sure what you mean, maxed out the views?
Thx for your help, I have disabled the service. Perhaps that will sort it

That sounds like Folder View options rather than taskbar.

that's weird. usually it's the other way around (goes to classic instead of xp themes)

shuddup.....I was drunk when I posted that
still wouldn't surprise me if M$ had that tied together
but...disabling the theme service should stop it

yeah, for folder views, has a default limit of like 200 or 400, can't remember
it's pretty gay, but it can be tweaked
