For some weird reason, why is only my norton antivirus icon showing on the bottom right hand corner?

I have a mp3 player and I really need to see that icon that allow me to "remove this hardware safely" because for some reason, even when I customize it to always show, it won't show at all. Is there an option that I have not set?

    Thanks for all your help.

sounds like you may not have that option available at the moment. You don't have the arrow that is there if you have inactive icons. If the drivers were installed after you plugged it in and the icon went away, it may not need the safely remove option to be present. Just turn it off before disconnecting it.

May be a silly question but have you tried doing it in your task bar settings?

Right click task bar > Properties > Customize...

ps, when you set it to show, you need to lock the task bar.

Another silly question. Have you tried restarting your PC?

That's what I was gonna say, sometimes if explorer crashes it will only show certain icons, some jsut wont show until the program is restarted or computer restarted.
