    Hello, I´m new and I signed for an account at a "legal" downloading portal CenturioNet. Are these really legal download portals?

    their safe if you own rights to what you are downloading. thought they probably dont own rights to it.

    Anything that you download is illegal, no matter where you have downloaded from! Dunno if newsgroups are considered to be legal though.

    Not quite right Delorean.

    It is not illegal to download stuff and as far as I know all filesharing software is legal.

    What is illegal, is downloading/sharing material that has a copyright on it.

    True.. Just read the disclaimers on the bittorrent sites. You have to own copyrights if you want it to be legal.. But who does..
