I was accused of being condescending on my work board. I was slightly taken aback at first but then felt rather chuffed with myself.

You should stop using all those expensive words. People might think you're a wee bit uppity
I don't wear glasses except to read, Skweeks.

The words are the result of a mis-spent youth, going around grabbing up all of the spare and odd syllables I found lying about to save for later use; I've such a hoard of them now (I found an interest-bearing shelter) there is no fear of exhausting the supply.

I also have stores of punctuation, especially semi-colons, which I can use, and octothorps, which I cannot.

    Would you like some?

    ################################################

Spend them freely, and remember, there's more where they came from.

BTW-I've always wanted to be uppity, and insufferable into the bargain, but have decided my aim is worthy of nothing beyond a cuddly curmudgeonliness, alas.

Actually, apart from a wee poke at Dave, I only bumped the thread for want of nostalgia, and a dream that died aborning.

I think you have a hack into www.dictionary.com and just make up your own words.

I have made up several words, each of which is easily understandable; haven't you?
