  1. #1
im getting a notebook soon 3 days before it gets shipped =), so what software shoud I install?

Should I install windows customizing stuff as that will take ram, would it eat up the batteries if i install that stuff?

    I'm thinking of doing

    Desktop Cus: CursorXP, Objectdock, Stylexp
    ANTIV-Nod32
Firewall-is it really necessary? im not fond of zonealarm that much

yes, a firewall is necessary. Everything else is just preference. What programs do you use often? What are you using your notebook for?

office 2003 is nice to have. if you don't have it or don't know where to get it, then open office is always a nice alternative.

I use norton internet security 2005 on my desktop and symantec client security 10 on my laptop. I have no problems with the software and LOVE the adblocking/popup blocking.
