Windows calculates filesizes by dividing by 1000 instead of 1024. Your CD burning software will tell you if you enough space or not. Don't worry about until your burning software complains.

you can also overburn the disc in nero
go to preferences then expert features.
click on the enable overburn and put in a value for how much you want to over burn. don't do too much though

Yes, Nero only shows minutes, but the overburn will still work with any file. But if you still want to cut the file, goto http://www.dvdrhelp.com/virtualdubedit.htm and get VirtualDub (or NanDub) to cut/join movies.

iF YOUR WRITER SUPPORTS OVERBURNING THEN YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO USE 90 OR 99 MIN DISCS. i HAVE A CYBERDRIVE CW038 (ABOUT 1/2 YEASR OLD) AND i CAN USE INFINITI 99 MIN DISCS WHICH SHOULD BE ABLE TO BURN UP TO 900 MG. tHE BIGEST IVE BURNT SO FAR IS 850MG ON A DISC.
TO DO SO YOU HAVE TO PLAY AROUND WITH THE SETTINGS OR NERO TELLS YOU THERE IS NOT ENOUGH SPACE ON THE DISC BUT ITS EASY TO SORT OUT AND THEN YOU CAN WRITE NICE BIG FILES SO YOU CAN LOOK FOR LARGER FILES (WHICH FOR THE MOST PART ARE BETER QUALITY)
